Veracity was created in 2020 and has since been exhibited across three solo exhibitions in Melbourne, London, and Madrid. It was among the final works from a five-year exploration of intuitive abstraction before a significant shift in my painting process, marking the closing chapter of that period.

The painting was created in a temporary home studio during one of Melbourne's many covid lockdowns. Looking back, I recognise this time as one of profound introspection; a period of turning inward that preceded a deeper spiritual awakening in the years that followed.

I have come to see Veracity as an emotional landscape shaped by both personal and collective experience. Its movement between tension and release, turbulence and stillness, reflects the peaks and troughs of a moment in history that asked many of us to confront ourselves in new and unexpected ways.
